Additions:

• The mute state will now persist. So, if you mute the music and reload the page, it will remain muted.
  • Sorry it took this long; I know the music can get annoying. Up until now I was under an impression that itch.io doesn't support the API that's required for this to work, but today I realized that this was due to my browser settings. I usually disable 3rd party cookies in my browser, but for some reason they are required for the feature to work on itch.io. If you never disabled them (like most people) you should be fine. If you did disable them, you'll see a custom error in the console, but the game will no longer crash, and you'll be able to continue muting the music manually.
